Yes, we're open. Our facility is LARGE, and there is plenty of room for social distancing. As things start to open back up in our community, All FUR Fun Training and Event Center will continue to listen to state and local authorities to make the best decision for our clients and their pets. Your health and our team's health remain our top priority. All FUR Fun will continue to remain open.
We will require everyone, both staff and clients to wear face masks upon entering the building. When in training classes, safe distances are maintained. Masks will be optional when proper spacing is observed. Masks are not required when running your dog in agility. Only one person will be on the floor at any one time.
In the event of any changes, you can be the first to know by subscribing to our mailing list or following us on social media. All FUR Fun Training and Event Center is dedicated to being there for you, so please don't hesitate to reach out and contact us if you have any questions!
We like to meet with all members of the human team first. In this informative class, we discuss tips to make your life with your pup so much easier. We talk about your dog, any issues that you are currently having, and give you tips and tricks to fix immediate behavior problems. We'll prepare an individualized training program based upon your goals and where your pup is in their own training. When you complete the IPT class, you can rest assured you are on the right path to build a great bond with you dog. The IPT (Intro to Positive Training) Class is held most Mondays at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday at 1pm. The cost is just $35 and that covers everyone in the family. If you'd like to register for the Intro to Positive Training Class, click one of the links below:

We look forward to seeing you at our next class!
The short answer is yes. It is the way we develop your personalized training program. The whole family is invited to attend! There ARE, however, a few classes that do not require this class. Pre-requisites will be listed in class descriptions. No matter which class you attend, the Intro to Positive Training Class will give you a real head start! We just ask that any small children be closely supervised and able to engage during the entire class.
If you immediately start in one of our higher-level agility classes, the instructor may be able to meet personally with you to determine your dog’s prior agility training.
We do not. Our focus is training and opening communication between you and your dog.
Yes. We have times that our training areas are not being used for classes or private sessions. The rooms are NOT to be used as an “open play time” for dogs not in current training classes.
The short answer is yes. We do require rabies as per the state laws. Puppies are required to have had their second set of vaccinations at least five days prior to coming to AFF. We do not collect vaccination records, but we do reserve the right to request proof at any time.
You can, however, this is not usually advantageous, as dogs in the same household might spend their time focusing on their housemate. Enrolling just one dog in class and working on all the same behaviors might be a better option for you, and cheaper!
If you miss a class, you do have the option to schedule a make-up session with your instruction at an additional cost.
It’s wise to make a training bag to bring each time you come to class. Depending on the class: bring a hungry dog, a mixture of treats that your dog values (we also have treats for purchase), toys that your dog likes for reinforcement, a regular collar or harness and leash, a mat for relaxation, and a willing and open attitude.
We like the whole family to be involved in training. The maturity of the child who wants to participate in training needs to be considered, and not necessarily the age of the child. The adults must be in charge of the training and handling of the dog, with instructor judgment on interaction between children and the dog. Young children should not be in charge of controlling the dog.
If you are new to our training center, you’ll start with the IPT (Introduction to Positive Training). The IPT Class is held most Mondays at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday at 1pm. The cost is just $35 and that covers everyone in the family. If you'd like to register for IPT, click one of the links below:

Yes. We welcome observers. If you choose to observe a class, please contact us at info@allfurfundog.com to get the information. Please note that NO dogs will be allowed to come for observation.
Does the same person need to be the handler during the whole length of class?
We suggest that one-person work with a dog at one time. If the exercise changes, you are welcome to switch handlers.
That is a wide-open question. Each person starts at a different point. Each person has different goals. We can only tell you what each class costs, and which classes will meet your goals.
Our classes can be a good starting point for training the obedience behaviors needed by service dogs with public access. However, we do not offer specific training or certification for service dogs.
(The requirements and laws surrounding service dogs can be confusing. We often get questions on this topic. This comprehensive article explains the ins and outs of service dog access. The U.S. government website for the ADA also has good information on this topic: www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html.
Yes. Our classes lead to this certification.
We do not. Our focus is to deepen the bond between you and your dog.
Yes, we do. Each instructor can be contacted to arrange private sessions.
We occasionally offer day training on Thursday and Friday. If this interests you, the Intro to Positive Training Class is the first step. Your dog must also be comfortable in a crate for down times.
Karen Deeds is our “go to” for reactive and aggressive dogs. Karen conducts the Reactive Integration Class at All FUR Fun, and also does in home sessions. Karen can be contacted via email - canineconnection@charter.net.
That would be an option we would not endorse.
These are options we would not endorse.
This is not in our class options. You would need to contact a trainer that specializes in service dog training.
We have an 18,000sf facility and do the bulk of our training at All FUR Fun. Karen Deeds does offer in home training on some Mondays and Tuesday. Karen can be contacted via email - canineconnection@charter.net
We never have more than 7 in a class. Most classes are 4 dogs.
Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies from 8 weeks to 18 weeks.
We encourage all owners to offer the chance for their dogs to potty outside on the grass before entry. We also have “potty breaks” midway in classes. If your puppy has an accident, we clean up and move on.
From the first class to competition, it might take 1 year to 18 months. This will always depend on your commitment to training.
ALL agility training is FUN. In order to play in any sport, there needs to be understanding. A dog will not naturally see the agility equipment and think they’ve gone to “dog Disneyland,” and “do it.” There are many steps to take to form the agility team, whether it’s just for fun, or (when you see that you’ve become a team) would like to actually compete. We suggest coming up through the classes to get understanding in all areas of focus and clarity for your dog. A plan can be formed once the human half of the team attends the Intro to Positive Training Class.
Nosework is a canine sport created to mimic professional detection dog tasks. One dog and one handler form a team. The dogs must find a hidden target odor, often ignoring distractors (such as food or toys) and alert the handler. After the dog finds the odor they are rewarded with food or a toy. This is fun for almost ANY dog. You can learn nosework to entertain your dog or continue to learn and compete. You’ll be surprised how quickly your dog picks up on this fun and entertaining sport.
